Hearing Aids

Behind the Ear (BTE)

The traditional design and the most robust option. Generally operated with disposable battery, these are now also available as rechargeables and have the wireless connectivity option for connecting to TV and mobile phones.

Receiver in the Ear (RITE)

Also known as RIC (Receiver in the canal) it is the discreet version of the traditional BTE. In fact, 85% of the hearing aids sold worldwide and locally here in Australia is the RIC style; the reason being it has the robustness of the BTE, the discreet looks making it virtually invisible, rechargeable (no fiddly batteries) and smart (can connect to your TV and mobile phone for calls). An optional no-cost mobile phone app is available to control some features on your hearing aid.

In the Canal (ITC)

The hearing aids that go inside your ear canal. They can still be seen easily and are operated by disposable battery. Recent technological advances makes them possible to be available as rechargeables with smart connections to TV, mobile phone and an optional mobile phone app.

Completely in Canal (CIC)

Smaller than ITC’s they go deeper into the ear canal and can be hardly seen in the ear. They were called as the Invisible hearing aids prior to the arrival of IIC’s. They are small to handle and need a good level of dexterity.

Invisible in Canal (IIC)

These hearing aids are much smaller than CIC and go much deeper in the ear canal. They cannot be seen and hence are marketed as ‘Invisible’ hearing aids. Due to the size, they cannot be available as rechargeable or smart option. Dexterity has to be very good as batteries are very small.

Ready to Wear CIC

Instant fit devices that do not need to be custom moulded. They offer bluetooth streaming and have the rechargeable option as well. As they are instant fit devices, can cost significantly lower than custom moulded devices but still offer the benefits of premium sound quality.

Hearing Aid accessories

To enhance the functionality of hearing aids, they can often be paired with different wireless accessories. These include TV streamer to hear TV clearly without disturbing others, remote mini microphone for better hearing in difficult listening situations, remote control for ease of volume control and switching between programs. We can supply and pair for most major brands.

Assistive Listening Devices

We are authorised suppliers for various Assistive Listening Devices (ALD). The most common of these is the TV listening headset approved by the Hearing Services Program (HSP) that is a compact and easy-to-use Bluetooth audio streamer that plays audio wirelessly from your TV, sound bar or stereo system.
